Col. O. D. Robertson, 82, of Russell Springs, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Lt. Col. O. D. Robertson will be 10amCT, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with David Ransdell officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, April 13, 2015. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery with full military honors.

Lt. Col. O. D. Robertson, 82, of Russell Springs, Russell County, KY was born December 23, 1932 in Russell County, KY, to the late Fred & Olie Gertrude Cunningham Robertson. He died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY.

He was a retired Lt. Col.in the US Air Force and was a member of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandaughter, Katelan Robertson; 6 sisters, Mabel (infant) Robertson, Mildred Smith, Freda Wilson, Hope Tarter, Treva Foley, Geneva Reeves and a brother, Royce Felton Robertson.

Survivors include the following:
  • Soul Mate: Genova Dean Vaught

  • Three children: Cheryl (Chris) Smith, Carla (Michael) Lopez, Lt. Col. Jeffery (Roxanne) Robertson, all of San Antonio, TX

  • Two grandsons: Jonathan Robertson and Zachary Robertson

  • One great grandson: Eli James Robertson
