Joyce Coomer develops Monarch Butterfly Road Sign Entrepreneurs Step Up: Part of the job is now done. Use Joyce's Design. Make and sell signs to stop roadside spraying. The signs will be a let herbicide sprayers know not to spray, that you care about the environment! Click on headline Monarch Butterfly design from Joyce M. Coomer. The attached is as about as simple a drawing of a Monarch Butterfly that I could find this morning. If someone is hand painting the butterfly, the design could be made simpler. I think the butterfly needs to be at least 8" wide (on this design, the size is 10") so it will be readily seen. I think the stakes need to be 2" square, at least two feet long (maybe 3' long, again, to be readily seen, sharpened well for easy driving into the ground. The metal stakes used for electric fencing could also be used although it would be more difficult to attach the butterfly plaque securely. I put an orange triangle behind one butterfly to make cutting out the design easier. If people don't want to do the cutting and painting, but would like to adhere a butterfly print to a piece of wood (or coroplast, etc.), I can print the design in color on the polyester plates we use for printing. Anyone is free to use this design idea. - Joyce M. Coomer This story was posted on 2015-04-03 22:36:18
