Visitation was held 4pm-8pmET/5pm-9pmCT, Sunday March 29th, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 149 KY Hwy 42. Funeral Services were held 9amCT/10amET, Monday March 30, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.


Danny Joe Spears, 54, Yosemite, KY (1960-2015)


He was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on May 5, 1960 to Barry Wayne and Betty Jo Godbey Spears of Yosemite, KY. He died Friday, March 27, 2015, in Yosemite, Casey County, KY, at the age of 54 years, 10 months, and 22 days.

Danny Joe was a former welder with Donaldson's and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:

  • One daughter: Angela Dawn and (Adam) Denson of Lexington, KY

  • One son: Justin Wayne and (Tonya) Spears of Liberty, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Ethen and Kyron Spears and Charlotte and Malachi Denson

  • One sister: Ginny Godbey of Middleburg, KY
Preceding him in death was One Grandson: Brady Adam Kade Denson and One Sister: Elaine Dunham.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to help offset funeral expenses. Send a condolence to the family of Danny Joe Spears
