Driver injured in single vehicle accident on KY 55 South Road

COLUMBIA, KY – Tpr. Kenny Brown is investigating a collision that occurred today at approximately 2pmCT, 3 miles south of Columbia, KY on KY 55 S Road. 23-year-old Samantha Young, of Columbia was traveling north, operating a 2001 Chevy when she lost control of her vehicle. Young over steered and crossed both lanes of travel before leaving the northbound side and overturning down the embankment.

Young was not belted and was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Westlake Hospital and will be transferred to UK Medical Center.

Tpr. Brown was assisted by Tpr. Chase Willis and the Adair County EMS, Search and Rescue and Sheriff's Department.
