Michael Carter Price, 70, Green Co., KY (1945-2015)

Mr. Michael Carter Price of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Paul Carter Price and Lois Henderson Price, was born on February 3, 1945 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was 70 years, one month, and 18 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Hogard's Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a dedicated member and served in many different areas. Mr. Price was a lifelong farmer, and was retired after 33 years with the Kentucky State Highway Department. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM, Soil Conservation Board Member for over 25 years, and a member of the Greensburg/Green County Cattleman's Association.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris Jean Benningfield Price of Greensburg, with whom he united in marriage on November 16, 1968.

Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael Howard and Angie Price, and Edward Lee and Janice Price all of Greensburg; four grandchildren: Alex Price, Maylee Price, Avry Price, and Max Price all of Greensburg; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Edna Foley and her companion, William Montgomery of Brandenburg, Nora and Walt Quillman of Louisville, Betty Robertson of Donansburg, Linda and Owen Thompson of Campbellsville; a brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Nancy Price of Greensburg; two sisters-in-law: Kay Shipp, and Christine Benningfield both of Campbellsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Mr. Michael Carter Price will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Bro. Montie Fugate, Bro. Earl West, and Bro. Cliffton Sullivan will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 3 P.M. until 9 P.M., Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Tuesday until time of the funeral service.

Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
