Progress at Tebb's Bend

Larry Smith sent in a couple of photos of the most recent attempt to move the bridge at Tebb's Bend. The old bridge is supposed to be moved to The Old Homeplace on Green River. However, despite a herculean effort today, the iron structure couldn't be budged.

Attempting to move the bridge



2015-03-31 - Tebbs Bend - Photo by Larry Smith. The old iron bridge is supposed to be moved down the river to the Homeplace on Green River. Cables were attached today. The crane tried as much as 40,000 pounds of pressure, but they couldn't budge the bridge off the old foundation.
