Loren "Jake" McCarol, 85, of Louisville, formerly of Green Co. and Adair Co., died Friday, March 27, 2015 at 8:45pmCT, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating. Burial in Watson Cemetery at Cundiff, KY. Visitation after 4pmCT, Monday, March 30, 2015.

Loren (Jake) McCarol, Adair Co., KY native (1929-2015)

He was born March 29, 1929, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Henry and Effie Wright McCarol. He died Friday, March 27, 2015, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age 85 years, 11 months, and 27 days.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

He was a retired farmer, enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to go fishing.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Tim (Tracy) McCarol of Louisville, KY; and Mike (Lisa) McCarol of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Linny Scott of Louisville, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • And several nieces, nephews and friends
