Georgina E Smith, 51, of the Breeding Community in Adair County, Kentucky and formerly of Union, KY passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 6:39pmCT, at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, KY.

Funeral service: Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Alton Wayne Smith the officiating clergy. Interment in the Red Lick Cemetery, Metcalfe County, KY. The family request visiting after 11amCT, Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

She was born Sunday, July 14, 1963 in Covington, Kenton County, KY the daughter of the late George Freeman. She died Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 51 years, eight months, and seven days.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Smith, of Breeding, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: John Michael Smith of Breeding, KY; and Mark Ian Smith of Baton Rouge, Louisiana

  • Mother: Norma Jean Wedding of Independence, KY

  • Five sisters: Estella Nielson of Henderson, Nevada; Linda Pinkerton of Elsmere, KY; Juanita Stienhauer of Florence, KY; Regina Kresnak of Independence, KY; and Christina Mecham of Florence, KY

  • Four brothers: George Freeman of Romona, California; Richard Freeman of El Paso, Texas; Darrell Freeman of Independence, KY; and Doug Freeman of Lake Forest, California

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • Two longtime special friends: Paul and Brenda Kroth of Union, KY
