ACSO Deputy Rainwater arrests three following traffic stop

An early morning traffic stop on Liberty Road in Columbia KY led to to arrest of three individuals, the driver and two passengers, who face various allegations and were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

From the Adair County Sheriff's Office

At approximately 2:15amCT on Monday, March 23, 2015 Deputy Aaron Rainwater conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Liberty Road and Green Hills Road after he observed a green 1991 Lexus being carelessly operated by 19 year old Brittany Butler.



Brittany Butler of Liberty, KY, was arrested and charged with careless driving, Possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree and failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation.

Also arrested was 24 year old Thomas Butler of Liberty, KY. Thomas Butler was charged with Carrying a concealed deadly weapon, Possession of Controlled substance 2nd degree and Possession of drug paraphernalia.

A second passenger, 28 year old Barry Luttrell was also arrested for two outstanding warrants, Possesion of Controlled Substance 1st degree methamphetamines (2nd offense), and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. All three were lodged in the Adair Regional Jail, Columbia, KY.
