Lindsey Wilson Baseball sweeps doubleheader at Cumberlands - 21 Mar 2015 Next: The Blue Raiders vs. Cumberlands, at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Sunday, 22 Mar 2015, at Doyle Buhl Stadium and James Keelty Field, 7526 College Station Drive, Williamsburg, KY By Chris Wells News from Lindsey Wilson College WILLIAMSBURG, KY - No. 22-ranked Lindsey Wilson baseball swept a doubleheader today from the Cumberlands (Williamsburg, KY). The Blue Raiders set single-game season highs in runs and hits in an 18-2 win in the the Saturday, March 21, 2015 opener. Lindsey Wilson completed the sweep with a 5-1 win the nightcap. Lindsey Wilson scored nine runs in the third inning and five more in the fourth en route to the win. Aaron Ashton and Daryl Blaskovich each drove home four runs while Blaskovich, Victor Nazario, Fabian Chirino and Ryan Harper posted three hits in the win. Ashton had the biggest blast of the game with a grand slam during the third inning. Alex Bautista added a solo shot in the game. Ryan Hartman allowed two runs on five hits in his six innings of work. Aaron Pearcy came on for the final inning of the seven-inning, shortened game. He pitched a hitless final inning, including striking out two Patriots. Lindsey Wilson scored two runs in each of the sixth and seventh innings to beat the Patriots 5-1 in the seven-inning nightcap. Brandon Munoz and Steven Paredes each homered in the win. The pair combined for five hits and three RBIs. Bautista recorded two more hits and two RBIs in the win. Scott Sebald (5-1) hurled five scoreless innings while surrendering five hits en route to the win. James Roll picked up the save, throwing two scoreless innings.
