Colvin has been named one of six nominees for the Pat Summitt Trophy to be presented to the 2015 United States Marine Corps/WBCA NAIA National Coach of the Year. It is Colvin's second such nomination. She also nominated for the honor in 2009-10. Colvin has guided CU to consecutive MSC regular season titles and a 29-3 record through the 2014-15 conference tournament. Campbellsville was ranked in the NAIA Top 5 in every regular season coaches' poll this season. She was also named as the Mid-South Conference's 2014-15 Coach of the Year, an honor she shared with Pikeville's second-year coach, Joanna McNamee. Colvin is 214-57 (.790 winning percentage) during her eight-year career entering the NAIA National Tournament this week. Colvin is a native of Tompkinsville, Ky. She played four years at Campbellsville University, collecting the school and national records for assists. "Coach Colvin is very deserving of this recognition from the WBCA," said Director of Athletics Rusty Hollinsgworth. "She continues to do a remarkable job of leading Lady Tiger Basketball and positively impacting her players and the campus community." This story was posted on 2015-03-18 09:46:28
