Briar Gallatin Saunders age 24 of Knob Lick died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Friday, March 6, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, Thursday, March 4, 2015, at the funeral home.



He was the son of Ellen Holley and her husband David of Knob Lick and Brian Saunders and his wife Kathy of Huntington, West Virginia.

Briar was employed at C & F Farm Supply and was a member of the Highland Hills Church.

Besides his parents he is survived by by his wife Barbara Davis Brown of Tompkinsville, KY, and the following:
  • Four brothers: Kyle Holley, Lucas Saunders and Tommy Sanford all of Knob Lick, KY; and Brody Saunders of West Virginia

  • One sister: Megan and husband Travis Harper of Knob Lick, KY

  • His grandmothers: Amy Holley of Knob Lick, KY; and Mary Ann Saunders of Huntington, West Virginia

  • Numerous aunts and uncles whom he held very dear
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Patricia Jefferson Neal; Grandfathers Gary Allen Buckler, Robert Franklin Saunders and Tom Anderson Holley.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
