Janice Beard, 68 of Russell Springs, Ky formerly of the Milltown Community of Adair County, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 4:30amCT, at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Interment in the Milltown Cemetery, Milltown Church Road, Milltown, KY. Visiting will be after 9amCT, until the service time on Wednesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Janice Beard, 68, Russell County, KY (1947-2015)

She was born February 5, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Lee Foster and Rena Bryant Foster Chumbley. She died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Houston "Jimmy" Beard on May 13, 1993.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Bobby Beard and wife, Trish Norris of Russell Springs, KY

  • Three daughters: Julie Green of Lake City, Florida; Cynthia Jones of Wisconsin, and Angie Williams and husband Mike of Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Finis Foster of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Irene Burton of Russell Springs, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews
Mrs. Beard was a homemaker.
