Reed issues statement on arrest of ass't basketball coach The arrest of Adair County Assistant Coach Toby Curry by Kentucky State Police in Campbellsville, KY, prior to the start of the Adair County vs. Campbellsville basketball game was a result of a 34th Judicial Circuit Court Indictment, No. 15-CR-00019, Division, issued in Whitley City, KY, on Monday, 23 Feb 2015, and which reads: Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. TOBY L. CURRY, Texas Street, Greensburg, KY, DOB 01/24/77:Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.That on or about the 21st day of October, 2014, in McCREARY County, Kentucky, the above named defendant, committed the offense of: Unlawful Use of Electronic Means Originatin or Recevied with the Commonwealth to Induce a Minor to Engage in Sexual or other Prohibited Activities by using his cellular phone to communicate with a person he knew to be less than eighteen years of age with the intention of engaging in sexual acts with the minor; At the time of the alleged incident, Toby Curry was an employed by the Adair County Board of Education, but, school authorities emphasize that the allegation does not involve an Adair County Student. At the time of the arrest, which was made in a discreet fashion, Mr. Curry was quietly taken from the athletic event and was lodged in the Taylor County Jail in Campbellsville, KY.
