Ila Olene Johnson passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg, KY. She was 79. Funeral services are at 12pmCT/1pmET, Monday, February 23, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Allen Roberts officiating. A private burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Sunday from 2pm-4pmCT/3pm-5pmET at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Ila Olene Johnson, Casey County, KY (1935-2015)

Born November 24, 1935 in Casey County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Hershel & Mattie Watson Sayers. She died Thursday, February 19, 2015, in Harrodsburg, Mercer County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 2 months, and 26 days. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. Ila was always a happy person. Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Stanley Bruce Luttrell and Leslie Brent Luttrell, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two daughters: Connie (and Jackie) Prather of Nicholasville, KY; and Tammie (and Ernie) Lamb of Lancaster KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Six great-grandchildren

  • Four brothers: Chester Lawrence, Eugene, Wayne, and Claude Sayers, all of Windsor, KY

  • Two sisters: Levonda Luttrell and Wanda Gay Dick, both of Windsor, KY.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Stanley Luttrell and Carl Johnson; a brother, Jessie Sayers; and sister, Patricia Ann Sayers. In lieu of flowers, donation may be given of the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Ila Olene Johnson.
