Edward Hadley, 93, Glensfork, KY (1921-2015)

He was highly thought of citizen of Adair County, KY, a member of a prominent South Adair County family. He was a member of Glensfork United Methodist Church and a retired dairy farmer. He was the son of the late Ernest and Mamie Huddleston Hadley, and the widower of Ruby Grant Collins Hadley. He leaves four direct living descendants.

Edward Hadley, 93, of the Glensfork community, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:08amCT, at Summit Manor Health & Rehab Center, Columbia, KY.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Craig Trumbo officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 1pmCT, Wednesday, February 25, 2015.



Edward Hadley, 93, Glensfork, KY (1921-2015)


He was born Saturday, October 15, 1921, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Ernest and Mamie Huddleston Hadley. He died Friday, February 20, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 93 years, four months, and five days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Grant Collins Hadley and his son, Phillip Hadley.

Survivors include:
  • His daughter-in-law: Alice Hadley of Glensfork, KY

  • His grandson: Bruce (Leslie) Hadley of Columbia, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Jordan Hadley, Mallory Hadley and Brody Rodgers

  • Two sisters-in-law: Marie Collins Helm of Jamestown, KY; and Mary Edna Hadley of Columbia, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
