David (Snake) Holt, 73, Adair County, KY (1941-2015)

He had professed faith in Christ and was retired custodian at the National Guard Armory in Monticello, KY. He was a member of a highly regarded Ella Community family. He was the son of the late Jack & Demaris Whited Holt.

David, better known as "Snake" Holt, age 73 years, of Monticello, KY, formerly of the Ella Community in Adair County, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2015 in Monticello, KY.

Funeral service Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 12pm noon CT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, Bro. Koger Ramsey, the officiating clergy. Interment in New Hope Cemetery, 131 New Hope Cemetery Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 9:30amCT, Tuesday, February 24, 2015.


David (Snake) Holt, 73, Adair County, KY (1941-2015)


He was born on December 18, 1941. He was the son of the late Jack & Janice Demaris Whited Holt of Adair County, KY. He died Thursday, February 15, 2015, in Monticello, KY, at the age of 73 years, one month, and 28 days.

He is survived by caregivers Jerry & Karen Parmley of Monticello, KY, and the following:
  • One brother: Dallas "Buddy" Holt of Columbia, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by two brothers Greg Holt & Billy Joe Holt.
