Four LWC Women's Indoor Track & Field program records fall Kevia Gonzales, Janice Brown and Kimberley Stevens all set new high marks in Blue Raider program history at Ohio State Tune Up By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Lindsey Wilson women's indoor track & field team set four new program records on Friday, 20 Feb 2015, at the Ohio State Buckeye Tune Up event hosted by Ohio State University at the French Field House, 460 Woody Hayes Dr Columbus, OH. Kevia Gonzales toppled a pair of Blue Raider records while Janice Brown and Kimberley Stevens each bettered their own program records. Gonzales began her impressing showing on the day in the 60 meter dash event. After qualifying for the finals as the fourth-seeded individual, Gonzales finished the event with a time of 7.89 in seventh place. Her preliminary qualifying time of 7.78 seconds not only earned her a national "B" standard in the event, but also broke a 10-year old school record by .51 seconds. In the 200 meter dash event, Gonzales was at it again recording her second top 10 finish of the day after completing race with a time of 26.32, placing 10th out of 24 competitors. The time was good enough to break another school record, this time by .58 seconds. Janice Brown got in on the record-breaking action as she leapt a distance of 5.53 meters (18-01.75 feet) in the long jump, breaking her own previous school record of 5.38 meters set last season. The distance was good enough for a national "A" standard and a fifth-place finish in the event. Kimberley Stevens added her name to the list of record breakers on the day as she recorded a distance of 11.64 meters (38-02.25 feet) in the triple jump, upping her own school record of 11.48 meters set last week. Stevens finished fifth in the event. Maryssa Stewart just missed out on a top 10 finish in the triple jump, hitting a distance of 10.89 meters (35-08.75 feet) to finish 11th. Lindsey Wilson finished the day with eight total team points in 17th place out of 24 teams in a field comprised mainly of NCAA Division I competition.
