A way to thank the folks who have to go out in this stuff

' . . . road crews, the utility workers, the law enforcement people, the emergency responders, the health care providers, the store workers, the news deliverers - everybody who HAD to go out into this "beautiful snow" this morning--or night.' - - Dick and Mary Knight

By Mary Knight

I'm baking in my kitchen, looking out the window, appreciating the beautiful snow---now that the sun is shining, and the "beautiful snow" has stopped falling. I'm so grateful that my workplace is closed today, so the pressure to drive to work in the "beautiful snow" is off for me. But what about all those folks who have to brave the cold and the ice and the snow banks and the stress of getting around in all this "beautiful snow"?

Why don't we lucky ones make a batch of cookies for those who have to be out and about? We may not get the cookies to them for the next day or two, but they will get the idea that we thank them for doing their jobs. I'm thinking of the road crews, the utility workers, the law enforcement people, the emergency responders, the health care providers, the store workers, the news deliverers - everybody who HAD to go out into this "beautiful snow" this morning- or night.

Chocolate chip cookies comin' up!! Thanks, - Dick and Mary Knight
