WEST POINT, GA - After a disappointing series-opening loss to host Point (Ga.) on Friday, Lindsey Wilson baseball bounced back in a big way, sweeping a doubleheader today, February 14, 2015, at West Point Park Baseball Field.

The Blue Raiders captured today's opener 4-2 and closed the day with a 12-1 win to take two out of three in the weekend series

In game one, Ryan Harper doubled home two runs in the top of the sixth to lead the Blue Raiders to the 4-2 win.

James Roll was outstanding in the relief of starter Carlos Pena. Roll -- who picked up first win of the season -- hurled 4-1/3 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit. He finished with three strikeouts while issuing one walk en route to improving to 1-1 on the season.

Harper -- who came in to pinch-hit with runners at second and third and one out -- blasted a 3-2 offering from Point reliever Daniel Wagner to right-centerfield to plate Kory Weeks and Edgar Lebron for the lead.

Victor Nazario got the Blue Raiders on the board in the top of the first with a RBI single, scoring Brandon Munoz -- who led off the game with a walk.

Point responded with runs in the first and third inning for a 2-1 lead.

Lindsey Wilson tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth as Weeks scored the first of two runs in the game on a pass ball with bases loaded.

Pena surrendered both Point runs on four hits in his 2-2/3 innings.

Point starter Harrison Pollard suffered the loss allowing three runs on five hits in 5-plus innings of work.

In the second game, Lindsey Wilson recorded a season-high with 15 hits in a 12-1 win.

Munoz, Lebron and Alex Bautista each had three hits while Harper and Aaron Ashton each added two hits to lead the Blue Raider offense. Ashton and Bautista each homered while combining for five runs and six RBIs in the win.

Scott Sebald pitched five scoreless innings to improve to 1-0 on the season. He allowed just two hits while striking out five.

Sebald stepped onto the mound for the first time today with a 5-0 lead following a five-run first inning where the Blue Raiders sent 10 batters to the plate.

Lindsey Wilson added a pair of runs in the fourth and five more runs in the fifth inning -- where Ashton and Bautista hit back-to-back home runs. Ashton ended the day 2-for-5 with three runs and four RBIs while Bautista finished 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs.
