COLUMBIA, KY- The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team forced a season-high 34 turnovers en route to a 78-55 win over Shawnee State (Ohio) on Senior Day Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2015, at Biggers Sports Center.

The Blue Raiders used a fast-paced offense and suffocating defense to win their sixth game in the last seven contests.

D'on Hall led the scoring for Lindsey Wilson with a game-high 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while Reco Lewis and Bryan Wallace totaled 13 points and 10 points, respectively.

The Blue Raiders (16-11, 7-7 MSC) used a pivotal 18-0 run and forced eight Bears' turnovers in a seven minute span in the second half to pull away for the victory in the home finale at Biggers Sports Center this season.

Lindsey Wilson started fast and scored the first 10 points of the game, forcing an early Shawnee State (9-15, 3-9 MSC) timeout with 16:30 left in the first half.

With the Blue Raiders leading 22-13 at the 10:55 mark, the Bears narrowed the gap scoring eight straight points to trail 22-21 with 6:33 to go. Jacob Daniels made a basket for Shawnee State followed by three-point baskets from Ethan Moffatt and Devon Carter during the stretch.

But Lindsey Wilson's high-intensity defense came alive and forced eight turnovers and held Shawnee State to 2-of-10 from the field in the final six minutes of the period.

During that six-minute span, the Blue Raiders used the Bears' woes to their advantage sprinting to a 15-2 run to end the half and lead 37-23 at the break.

Lewis scored seven first half points, while Julian Edmonson added six and Horne had five points.

Lindsey Wilson shot 46.7 percent in the first half and Shawnee State totaled a 40.0 percentage. The Blue Raiders scored 20 points off 20 Bears' turnovers and tallied 12 steals.

Shawnee State attempted to climb back into the game in the second half, cutting the lead all the way down to four points at the 50-46 mark with 11:05 remaining.

But Lindsey Wilson answered by scoring 18 consecutive points, including forcing another eight Bears' turnovers. Five of the nine seniors including, Hall, Horne Roderick Clark, Keshaun Mayfield and Tony Menton all contributed points to the 18-point run than went until the 4:15 mark of the game.

The Bears failed to narrow the lead in the last four minutes as the Blue Raiders held no less than a 19 point-advantage the rest of the way.

Shawnee State finished with a 43.1 percentage from the field and Lindsey Wilson shot 50.8 percent. The Bears shot 45.0 percent (9-of-20) from beyond the arc, while the Blue Raiders recorded a 30.0 percentage (6-of-20) from three-point range.
