RRW Comment on NBC Newsman Bryan Williams 'No doubt he was way out of line, but I know a lot of people who tend to let their fish stories or their winnings at the Casinos grow as time goes by.' - Ralph Waggener By Ralph Waggener Bryan Williams made a terrible mistake in saying he was in more danger than he was. Why? He most likely doesn't know. I'm sure he was scared because as I understand, the Chopper he was on was hit by bullets, but not RPG fire. Compared to the news we get every day on national news programs he would have been in line by exaggerating his story. News we get from TV has to be exaggerated or most news personalities would all have to quit. I'm not defending Williams for what he did, but just pointing out that we are quick to destroy anyone who makes a mistake. No doubt he was way out of line, but I know a lot of people who tend to let their fish stories or their winnings at the Casinos grow as time goes by. We are so critical of public people because we see wrongs being played to us on TV News that we begin to believe everyone is bad. When wrong is found out, what is most important is to keep it from happening again' make changes to correct (no, not pass another law; we have done too much of that already). Just pass one more law, and that every time you pass a new law you would have to take two off the books; law passing is most of the time a cop out to keep the blame off of their own backs. Bryan Williams repent, and keep on doing the good work you had become so famous for. Just my out of order opinion. - Ralph Roy Waggener This story was posted on 2015-02-08 14:28:49
