Glasgow Musicale presents: Carnival in Rio/Mardi Gras Celebration

Evening of music by CU Jazz Ensemble will be followed by tour of Glasgow High School Culinary Arts Facility, silent auction of pastries to benefit scholarship program to Stephen Foster Music Camps held on the GHS campus. (If you go: Glasgow High School is approximately 35 minutes from Adair County High School. From the LBN/Cumberland Parkway at Glasgow, take the first exit - KY 1519/US 68 exit

Glasgow Musicale invites and welcomes you to a festive Carnival in Rio/Mardi Gras celebration with the Campbellsville University Jazz Ensemble featuring the world famous Almeida Duo, Saulo DeAlmeida and Denis Almeida Santos, with guest artists Jorge Camargo-Sao Paulo and Chad Floyd. This admission free evening program will begin at 6pmCT, Tuesday February 17, 2015 in the Glasgow High School Auditorium, 1601 Columbia Avenue (campus address), Glagow, KY, with a tour of the GHS Culinary Arts Facility. (Please note this is a change of performance venue from the membership directory.)



Silent auction of desserts will follow

A Silent Auction of Desserts baked by GHS Culinary Arts Students and Glasgow Musicale member will begin at 6:15pmCT, along with other silent auction items and will conclude at the end of the program. The performance will begin at 6:30pmCT with one intermission planned.

Proceeds from the Dessert and Silent Auction will benefit the Glasgow Musical Scholarship Fund which enables Glasgow and Barren County Middle and High School Students to attend the annual Stephen Foster Music Camps held in June on the campus of EKU.

Membership is not required to attend. Anyone who enjoys music is invited to attend this free, family-friendly exciting musical event.

Glasgow Musicale, established in 1894, is the oldest music club in the Commonwealth, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, and a member of the National and Kentucky Federation of Music Clubs.
