ACHS Career and Technical Showcase: 9 Feb 2015 'Our goal is to share with the whole county, firsthand, how ACHS has changed from being just a traditional college prep high school to a high school which is helping drive the economic engine of a new Adair County and the region. . . Helping drive the economic engine of a new Adair County and the region' - SHAMARIE CLAIBORNE By Shamarie Claiborne, Media Publicity Coordinator News from the Adair County School District We want to remind everyone about the Career and Technical Education Showcase next February 9, 2015, at 5pmCT, at the Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY . Our goal is to share with the whole county, firsthand, how ACHS has changed from being just a traditional college prep high school to a high school which is helping drive the economic engine of a new Adair County and the region. We are graduating students who are completing up to 2 years of college upon graduation from high school, or students who hold state or industry certificates that will enable them to earn a good living close to home here in the region. Our county now expects much more from our school district. The performance bar for both teachers and students has been raised by a rapidly changing, global economy. We are in the business of preparing students to be able to succeed in a career of their interest straight out of high school regardless of their college plans. We urge you to come join us Monday to see firsthand all the wonderful changes not only within the school but in the lives of our students. This story was posted on 2015-02-03 10:24:16
