Bobby Benton Vibbert, 65, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. 31 Jan 2015)

He was the son of the late Benton and Ester Strode Vibbert. He was retired from RR Donnelleys in Glasgow, KY. He served in the US Navy and was a member of the Hagans Grove Baptist Church. He was the patriarch of a large, highly regarded South Central Kentucky family, with strong ties in Metcalfe County, KY, and elsewhere.

Bobby Benton Vibbert, 65, of Edmonton, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, burial in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Monday, February 2, 2015, and after 9amCT, Tuesday at the funeral home



He was the son of the late Benton and Ester Strode Vibbert. Bobby was retired from RR Donnelleys in Glasgow, KY


He is survived by his wife Dorothy Vibbert of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • A son: Bobby B. Vibbert Jr of Edmonton, KY

  • Two step children: Billy Pemberton and Sherry Ann Bunch both, of Edmonton, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Faith Whitlow, Jacob Bunch, Benton Lee Vibbert, Will Pemberton and Jackson Pemberton, all of Edmonton, KY

  • Five great grandchildren; Kassidee Bunch, Ryan Bunch, Miranda Bunch, Travis Whitlow and Lucas Whitlow

  • Three sisters; Eva Robertson of Greensburg, KY; Sylvia Page of Tompkinsville, KY; and Wilma Rhinehart of Edmonton, KY.

  • Several nieces and nephews
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ruby Eldridge.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
