By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College Track & Field COLUMBIA, KY The Lindsey Wilson men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams travel to Cedarville, Ohio, on Friday to compete in the Cedarville Collegiate Invitational. The field consists of 16 teams including Mid-South Conference foes Campbellsville (KY), Cumberlands of Williamssburg, KY, and Shawnee State of Portsmouth, OH. Lindsey Wilson is scheduled to compete in 37 of the 42 total events on Friday The Blue Raider squads combined to qualify as the top seeds in five individual events at the invitational and have three different relay teams as the No. 1 seed. Both teams most recently competed at the Findlay Classic on January 23-24, 2015. Tylor Pinkard led the men's side with a fifth place finish in the heptathlon accumulating 3,761 total points. Hayden Sorrels took eighth place in his first ever 3,000 meter race walk clocking in at a time of 16:17.16. On the women's side, Rachel Wesley and Kassidi Taylor both broke the school record in the pole vault event with a height of 2.50 meters each. The previous record was 2.45 meters, which was set by Wesley last season. Amanda Farris earned a national "B" standard in the 3,000 meter race walk with a time of 17:02.70 to finish in eighth place.
