She was a native of Kansas, spent career days in California, where she worked as a secretary. She has been a resident of Kentucky since 2004. She leaves six direct living descendants, She loved animals, and memorial donations are requested to Green River Animal Shelter.

Darlene Hetrick age 96 of Edmonton passed away on Tuesday, January, 20, 2015 at Glenview Health Care Facility in Glasgow, KY.

A Memorial /Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4pmCT, February, 7, 2015, at the Edmonton Baptist Church, 208 Dunham Street, Edmonton, KY.



Darlene was born in Kansas and became a resident of California in 1947 where she worked as a secretary. She moved with her daughter and grandson to Kentucky in 2004.

She was a member of the Edmonton Baptist Church.

Darlene is survived by the following:
  • Her daughter: Margaret Southworth of Edmonton, KY

  • Grandson: John Southworth of Edmonton, KY

  • Granddaughter: Lorene Leaver of Hendersonville, NC.

  • Three great grandchildren: Daniel, Matthew, and Allison Southworth all of Edmonton, KY
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Clinton Hetrick and daughter Marlene Leaver.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.

Darlene loved animals, In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Green River Animal Shelter 455 Jim Blair Rd., Columbia KY 42728. Greenriveranimalshelter.org
