LWC Women's Tennis favored to win MSC regular-season title


Blue Raiders look to defend their regular-season title for the fourth-consecutive season

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team is favored to win the Mid-South Conference regular-season title in 2015 as the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll was released on Friday by the conference office.

The three-time defending regular-season champion Blue Raiders received 49 total voting points and seven-of-eight first-place votes.


Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Campbellsville (Ky.) is the projected runner-up in the conference with 40 voting points followed closely by Cumberland (Tenn.) with 38 voting points and the final first-place vote.

Georgetown (Ky.) is fourth in the balloting with 31 voting points followed by Cumberlands (Ky.) and Shawnee State (Ohio) with 27 and 16 voting points respectively.

Pikeville (Ky.) and St. Catharine (Ky.) complete the eight-team poll. The Bears garnered 14 voting points while the Patriots received nine.
