LWC Men's Tennis picked to capture MSC regular season


Blue Raiders received six-of-seven first place votes in the preseason poll By: Charlie Balcom

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team is the preseason favorite to capture the Mid-South Conference regular-season title, according to the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Friday by conference officials.

The defending MSC tournament champion Blue Raiders received 36 total voting points from the conference coaches, including six of the seven first-place votes.


Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Defending regular-season champion Cumberland (Tenn.) is second in balloting with 30 voting points followed by Pikeville (Ky.) in third with 24 voting points.

Campbellsville (Ky.) is fourth with 23 voting points and the final first-place vote. Cumberlands (Ky.) and Georgetown (Ky.) are fifth and sixth respectively with 17 and nine voting points while St. Catharine completes the poll with eight voting points.
