Morganfield man arrested on charges related to child exploitation

DIXON, KY (Webster County, KY) - The Kentucky State Police arrested a Morganfield man on charges related to child exploitation after conducting an investigation.



On Friday, January 23, 2015, at approximately 12:58pmCT, KSP Detective Don Morck arrested Michael D. Capps of Morganfield, KY. Chapps was charged with one county of Unlawful Use of Electronic Means to Induce a Minor to Engage in Sexual Activities (D Felony). He was lodged in Webster County Detention Center.

An investigation was initiated in January 2015 after Det. Morck received information that the accused was sending explicit text mesages to an underage female.

Det. Morck is continuing the investigation. Det. Steve Bryan, Trooper Billy Braden, and Det. Brandon McPherson assisted with the investigation and arrest.
