Ruth Evelyn Hill Wells, 80, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 5:24pmCT, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

The family has chosen cremation and no public service or visitation will be held.


Ruth Evelyn Hill Wells, 80, Adair County, KY (1934-2015)


She was born April 28, 1934, in Columbia, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ella Miller Hill. She died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 80 years, eight months, and 24 days.

She was a 1952 graduate of Columbia High School, where she was a cheerleader. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church, former member of the Homemakerís Club and was a licensed insurance agent working alongside her husband in David Wells Insurance Agency.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Hill.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: David Wells of Columbia, KY

  • One son: William Gregory "Greg" Wells (Robin) of Warrenton, VA

  • One daughter: Suzanne Wells Miell (Doug) of Atlanta, GA

  • One sister: Lois Brown of Ann Arbor, MI

  • Three grandchildren: Rachel, Sarah & Harrison Wells
