She was the daughter of the late Buford and Blanche Nunn and the widow of William Overton (Bill) Asbury. She was a homemaker and member of the Allens Grove Baptist Church. She leaves 15 direct living descendants.

Berniece Asbury age 85, of Center, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 S Main Street, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Asbury-Center Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 and after 9amCT, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late Buford and Blanche Nunn.

She was a homemaker and member of the Allens Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by:
  • Two sons: Billy Joe and wife Gaye Asbury of Center, and Ricky and wife Donna Asbury, all of Center, KY

  • One sister: Kathleen Judd of Sulphur Well, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Ellen (John) Tandy of Gamaliel, KY; Mindy (Ricky) Brooks of Center, KY; Cindy (Josh) Herrington of Center, KY; Brad (Karen) Asbury of Glasgow, KY; and Adam Asbury and fiancee' Sarah, of Center, KY

  • Two sister in laws: Lola Crenshaw of Glasgow, KY; and Betty Tucker of Sulphur Well, KY

  • Eight great grandchildren

  • And a very special family: the residents and staff of Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton, KY
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Overton (Bill) Asbury.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
