Adair County School Superintendent Alan W. Reed has announced that the District will be the destination for some very important people in the next few days.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2014, around 37 participants representing the member schools of Green River Region Educational Cooperative (GRECC) will be coming to Columbia. "Adair County High School is a synergy site and we will be sharing how we have achieved many of our successes since we became a Race to the Top District," Mr. Reed said.

Then, in February, Gov. Steve Beshear is committed to be in Columbia for The ribbon cutting ceremony at the Career Technology. That date will be set when the Governor can schedule his visit. It is expected to coincide with his Cumberland Parkway interchange stops in February.

The interchange at Russell Springs has been totally reworked, and a second interchange recently opened at Edmonton for Greensburg Road the Cumberland Parkway.
