Campbellsville Mayor Tony Young proclaimed Friday, January 9, 2015 as Dawg Day in Campbellsville, in recognization of 20 years of business and for the instrumental role the station has played in the revitalization of Downtown Campbellsville, KY.

Present at the Big Dawg studio were Mayor Young; Larry Smith, Operations Manager of Shoreline Communications; Mike Harris, President and CEO of Shoreline Communications; Big Dawg staff members Mike Wilson, Tammy Sexton, Lisa Kerns, and Brent Thompson.

The proclamation cited the station's support and leadership of Market off Main, music and dancing in the streets, Campbellsville's first Vietnam Veteran's Parade, and the station's tireless support of Toys for Kids.

The proclamation recognized the station for not being an entertainment, but also for vital public service broadcasting.

In addition, the proclaimation noted that the studio on main street is an anchor building and that the Big Dawg, does sit in the window as the friendly greeter to passers by.

For all those reasons, the day was proclaimed "Dawg Day," in recognition of the many contributions by WVLC to the progress and revitalization of Main Street Campbellsville and in its achievement of it's 20th anniversary.
