KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY Activity Report for Dec 2014

COLUMBIA, KY - During the month of December 2014, there were 18 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were three fatal collisions during the month of December in the Post 15 area.
  • Brittany Sanders, age 22, of Louisville KY was killed on 12/23/14 in Metcalfe Co KY
  • Jackie B. Lynch, age 35, of Albany KY was killed on 12/29/14 in Clinton Co KY
  • Ronald E. Harlan, age 55, of Elizabethtown KY was killed on 12/30/14 in Adair Co KY
This brings our yearly fatality count to 37 compared with 27 through this same period in 2013.

State wide fatality count stands at 663 compared with 638 through this same period in 2013.

During the month of December 2014, there were 1662 citations written, 36 courtesy notices written, 1198 vehicles inspected, 655 complaints answered, 65 motorists assisted, 71 criminal cases opened and 313 criminal arrests made.
