Adair Fire Dept battles two midnight fires in frigid weather By Donald Hare, Public Affairs Officer Adair County Fire Department Residential Mobile Home total loss The Adair County Fire Department responded to a residential mobile home fire at 11:39pmCT, Wednesday night, 7 Jan 2015, at 1350 Grassy Springs Road, Columbia, KY. Upon firefighters arrival the home was engulfed in fire and was a total loss. Property owned by Gary Curry. There were 17 firemen on the scene for around 2.5 hours. Faulty heating unit blamed for smoke at 100 Oxford Place residence While on first fire at 12:11amCT, Thursday morning, 8 Jan 2015, received a call for smoke in a residence at 100 Oxford Place, Property owned by Greg and Kim Dykes, Origin of the smoke thought to be faulty Heating Unit.
