Kentucky School Board Association Executive Director learns of broad range of training at Columbia facility, among the opportunities: College and Career Readiness offers Building and Apartment Maintenance and Computer Tech courses in which students can earn certification through the Office of Career and Technology while residents at the Adair Youth Development Center

School Administrator Sue Buley and John Shelley were hosts to KSBA Executive Director Mike Armstrong on January 6, 2015.

Mr. Armstrong was very impressed with the education program and the facility as a whole.

He stated that so many people, including himself, do not realize the opportunities this facility offers these young men and women to prepare them for transition back to their communities.



Residents at Adair YDC are offered individual treatment programs, counseling, dental, health, and mental health services along with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and/or GED.

College and Career Readiness offers Building and Apartment Maintenance and Computer Tech courses in which students can earn certification through the Office of Career and Technology.From Adair County School District
