Mr. Timmy Jay Harris, age 44, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014, peacefully at his family’s residence in the Ferris Creek Community of Metcalfe County, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky, with Bro. Donnie Shelley and Bro. David McCarty officiating. Burial will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 7pmCT, on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.



Mr. Timmy Jay Harris, 44, Burkesville, KY (1970-2014)


He was born in Cumberland County, KY on Monday, August 17, 1970, the son of Ranson Paul and Mary Ruth Barger Harris. He died Sunday, December 28, 2014, in the Ferris Fork Community of Cumberland County, KY at the age of 44 years, four months, and 11 days.

He attended Grace Union Baptist Church and was an employee of Sulphur Creek Marina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Gene Harris and Billy David Harris.

He is survived by the following:
  • His brothers and sisters: Paul (and Mary) Harris, Mary Ann (and Norris) Smith, Phyllis Hulse, Carlie Harris, Tony (and Melissa) Harris, all of Burkesville, Kentucky: Bessie Slaughter of Albany, Kentucky;, Patty (and Tracy) Burden of Lexington, Kentucky

  • A host of nieces and nephews
