Corey Melton named to C-ville Classic All Tournament Team

Melton, a freshman, paces Adair County High Boys Varsity with 23 points in hotly contested 54-49 game with Marion County in Campbellsville Holiday Classic on Sun 28 Dec 2014.
Next Adair County hosts Metcalfe County, at 7pmCT, Fri 2 Jan 2015, in Lindsey Wilson Classic at John Burr Memorial Gymnasium, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY.

The Adair County Indians dropped a highly contested contest to the Marion County Knights 54-49 in the 5th place game of the Campbellsville Holiday Classic. The Indians led at the end of the first 3 periods 8-6, 26-25, and 38-36 before being outscored 18-11 in the final period.



Freshman forward Corey Melton paced the Indians with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Melton connected on 9 of 13 field goal tries including 5 of 6 from the 3 point line. Melton was named to the all tournament team as a result of his play during the 3 games.

The Tribe fell to Central Hardin 58-53 and defeated Campbellsville 46-41 in their opening games. The Indians are 4-6 and return to play Friday night, January 2, 2014 when they host Metcalfe County in the Lindsey Wilson Classic at the John Burr Memorial gym. The Indians play Whitefield Academy Saturday at noon and Hart County at 7:00 Saturday evening.
