Robert Don Cox, 70, Taylor Co., KY (1944-2014)

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Willard Cox and Hallie Rash Cox Ratcliff. His wife of 49 years, Margaret Ann Cox, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Robert Don Cox, 70, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1:49pmET, Saturday, December 27, 2014, in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 12pmCT/1pmET, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY., by Rev. Rob Hughes. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Monday, December 29, 2014, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Brandon Garrett, Joe Garrett, Kole Garrett, Zachary Garrett, Clint Jeffries, Gavin Jeffries, Andrew O'Banion, Eddie Lynn O'Banion, annd Shane O'Banion

Honorary Pallbearers: Hamm Johnson, Hershel Moore, Jr., Ronnie Perkins, and Hack Simpson.

Robert Don Cox, 70, Taylor Co., KY (1944-2014)

Robert Don Cox was the son of the late Willard Cox and Hallie Rash Cox Ratcliff. He was born Tuesday, October 17, 1944, in Casey County, Kentucky. He died Saturday, December 27, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 70 years, two months, and 10days.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Margaret Ann Cox August 14, 1965.

Besides his wife Margaret Cox, he is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy O'Banion and husband, Eddie; and Shelly Garrett and husband, Joe of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Nicole Jeffries and husband, Clint; Shane O'Banion and wife, Heather; Brandon Garrett and wife, Tiffany: Andrew O'Banion and Brooklyn Garrett

  • Six great-grandchildren: Gavin Jeffries, Zachary Garrett, Kole Garrett, Austin Jeffries, Kimber Garrett and Tinlee Garrett

  • Five brothers and one sister: Bobby Cox and wife, Evelyn; James O'Neal Cox and Junior Ratcliff of Campbellsville, KY; James Cox and wife, Amanda of Somerset, KY; Paul Cox, and wife, Cedell of Shepherdsville, KY; and Gay Reed and husband, Buzz of Lexington, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
