Shw was the daaughter of the late Almond & Trelvis Delaine Walters Roy and the widow of Rufus Duel Roy. She leaves 36 direct living descendants spanning four generations

Claris Delaine Roy, 84, of Russell Springs, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Graveside service for Claris Delaine Roy will be at 1pmCT, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Union Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery. Special music by Robin Riddle, and Janice Popplewell. There will be no visitation.

She was born Thursday, June 19, 1930 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Almond & Trelvis Delaine Walters Roy. She died Friday, December 26, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 84 years, six months, and seven days.

She was a homemaker and member of Pine Top Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Duel Roy; a son, Steven Roy; 2 brothers, Wayne Roy, Phillip Roy and a sister, Christine Roy. Survivors include the following:
  • Five children: Roger (Diana) Roy, Stanford, KY; Lana Brown, Russell Springs, KY; Paulette (Jeff) Acre, Russell Springs, KY; Kathy (Dwight) Gossage, Russell Springs, KY; and Anthony (Sherry) Roy, Bowling Green, KY.
  • Nine grandchildren

  • Four great great grandchildren
