Christmas Memories: Remembers wheel magic on Aluminum tree

Writer, a kindred spirit of Mike & His Cat, vis-a-vis Sputnik Aluminum Christmas Trees, remembers her Aunt Gelina England's aluminum tree which had the spinning wheel attachment which made the tree turn colors. Would like to have one, but can't find one these days.

My Aunt Gelina England had one of those trees and hers had the wheel you plugged in that changed colors as it went around.

I would lay in the floor and watch the tree change colors as the wheel turned.

I would love to have one of them. Each individual branch was stored in a paper sleeve to keep it looking good.

My former mother-in-law had one also.

I called her a few years back and asked about it. I thought I might get her to sell it to me but she didn't have it anymore and couldn't remember what they did with it.

I am glad someone besides me likes them! - Johnnietta Jessie
