He was a native of Cumberland County and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was an employee of Bob Evans Manufacturing and a farmer Click on headline for complete obituary with photo(s) Mr. Bobby Joe Tweedy, age 68, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11amCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Burial will be in the Grider Family Cemetery near the Amandaville Community in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 12pm noon CT, on Friday, December 26, 2014 until the funeral hour on Saturday. He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Wednesday, December 4, 1946. He was the son of Billy Bob and Gladys Jewell Grider Tweedy. He died Monday, December 22, 2014 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky, at the age of 68 years, 18 days. He was an employee of Bob Evans Manufacturing and a farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncles, Curt Tweedy, Tom Tweedy, Preston Tweedy and Guy Grider and his aunts, Margie Tweedy Capps, Captola Tweedy, Geneva Tweedy, Mary Catherine Tweedy, Ruby Shaw and Mae Shaw. He is survived by his aunt, Opal Marie Grider of Burkesville, Kentucky and several cousins. Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Steet, Burkesville, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements.
