Melinda Bernard, 43, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Russell County Hospital. She died from injuries sustained in the April 27, 1971 tornado that came through Russell County, KY.

There are no services planned and cremation was chosen.

Melinda was born in Liberty, Casey County, Kentucky on March 18, 1971, a daughter of Linda Brown Bernard and Ronnie Bernard, of Russell Springs, KY. She died Sunday, December 21, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 43 years, nine months, and three days.

Melinda is also survived by:
  • Two sisters: Robin Redmon, of Liberty, KY and Amber D. Bernard, of Russell Springs, KY
