Clifton (Cliff) Bishop, Casey County, KY, Green County, KY native (1955-2014)

He was a Vietnam Army veteran and a Kentucky Colonel. Cliff was a truck driver and member of the Pine Grove Church. He was a native of Green County, KY, and was a resident of Casey County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Leroy and Clementine Wright Bishop. His wife of 17 years, Cindy Wethington Bishop, survives. He leaves 14 direct living descendants.

Clifton "Cliff" Bishop, of Casey County, KY passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital, LIberty, KY. He was 59.

Funeral services are 6pmCT/7pmET, Monday, December 22, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating. Visitation is 3pm-6pmCT/4pm-7pmET, Monday, December 22, 2014, at the funeral home.


Clifton (Cliff) Bishop, Casey Co., KY, Green Co. native (1955-2014)


Born Friday, September 30, 1955 in Green County, KY, he was the son of the late Leroy and Clementine Wright Bishop. He died Saturday, December 20, 2014, in Liberty, Casey County, Kentucky, t the age of 59 years, two months, and 21 days.

He was a Vietnam Army veteran and a Kentucky Colonel. Cliff was a truck driver and member of the Pine Grove Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Cindy Wethington Bishop of Liberty, KY, whom he married September 6, 1997, and the following:
  • A son, Lee (and Beverly) Bishop of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters: Lynn (and Jonathan) Woodrum of Liberty, KY; and Lori (and Joe) Sharp of Liberty, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Ilene (and Dowen) Quisenberry of Summersville, KY; and Roseanna (and Harvey) Webb of Celina,Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be given to help offset funeral expenses.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
