Mrs. Jennifer Perkins room put on a wonderful little play today entitled “The Little Pine Tree”. The story promotes the idea that it is okay to be who and what you are, instead of seeking what others have. Throughout the play “little pine’s” friends support his need for change, but in the end help him understand he is perfect just the way he is.

Cast members included Big Pine: Antonio Owens; Little Pine: Austin Huff; First and Second Tree: Aiden Pelston; Wind: Alyssa Frausto; Goat: Josiah Thurman,; Tree Fairy: Yuri Aguirre; and Greeter: Will Shepherd. Shown here are Aiden Pelston, Austin Huff, Antonio Owens, and Yuri Aguirre when the tree fairy gives “little pine” his pine needles back so he can be just what he is -- a little pine tree. - Shamarie Claiborne, Media Promotions Coordinator, Adair County School District
