Burwash named NAIA Women's Soccer Coach of the Year Burwash guided the Blue Raiders to the NAIA national championship earlier this month in Orange Beach, Alabama - the program's fourth national title. By Chris Wells News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer coach Drew Burwash has been named the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/FieldTurf NAIA Women's Soccer Coach of the Year, NSCAA officials announced on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Burwash guided the Blue Raiders to the NAIA national championship earlier this month in Orange Beach, Alabama - the program's fourth national title. Lindsey Wilson capped the 2014 season with an 18-3-3 record, including winning its last 10 matches en route to the title. The Blue Raiders were simply dominate in postseason play outscoring their opponents 47-3, including 17-2 at the national tournament. Lindsey Wilson closed out the title run with a 3-0 win over Northwestern Ohio in the championship match on December 6. Burwash boasts an overall record of 235-36-18, including a sparkling 73-1-2 all-time conference regular season record. Burwash has led Lindsey Wilson to the national tournament in each of his 12 seasons, including reaching the national semifinals eight times. His all-time national tournament record stands at 32-8-2 following the five wins this season. Burwash is 4-1 all-time in the national championship game -- winning titles in 2004, 2006 and 2012.
