Comment: CM Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Parade coverage

For context, see: CM story/album on Campbellsville for Vietnam Veterans Parade

Donald Skaggs writes:
I was very disappointed when I saw the picture on your website of the parade. You chose to highlight elected officials who, to my knowledge, are not veterans. The day was set aside to honor Vietnam veterans who were not given a welcome when they returned from serving their country. There were over a hundred Vietnam veterans in the parade. It would have been so much better if you had pictured several of these veterans instead of elected officials. From a disappointed Vietnam veteran and a daily reader of your magazine. -Donald Skaggs
Donald Skaggs: Appreciate the comment. For the parade, we posted material as we received it, the first being the welcome home banner. Yes, we'd like to have more veterans photos beyond the great one of the Color Guard, but did post it prominently on the front page the day of the parade. The photo of the officials was the last, not the first we received. It was a way to thank the folks, especially Rep. Bam Carney, a very early organizer for their roles. If we receive more photos of veterans, we'll make every effort to post it. - EW
