Sonya Dawn Houk Page, 51, Edmonton, KY (1963-2014)

She was a retired secretary for Edmonton Elementary School, and a member of the Missionary Mound Missionary Baptist Church in South Metcalfe County, KY. She was a native of Barren County, KY, and a resident of Metcalfe County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Bobby Joe and Sheila Hensley Houk. Her husband of 33 years, Gary D. Page, survives. She leaves one direct living descendant, a daughter, Kara Britt.

Sonya Dawn Houk Page , age 51, of Edmonton, died Friday, December 05, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 8, 2014, at 1pmCT, at the Missionary Mound Baptist Church, KY 163, Metcalfe County, KY, with Brother Dale Copas and Walter Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 1pmCT at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, and on Monday from 7am-9:30amCT at the funeral home, and after 10amCT at the church.



Sonya Dawn Houk Page, 51, Edmonton, KY (1963-2014)

Born Thursday, April 25, 1963 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Bobby Joe and Sheila Hensley Houk. She died Friday, December 05, 2014, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 51 years, seven months, and 10 days.

She was the wife of Gary D. Page, who survives. They were married 33 years.

She was a retired secretary for Edmonton Elementary and a member of the Missionary Mound Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband, include the following:
  • One daughter: Kara, wife of Britt Young, Edmonton, KY

  • One sister: Renita Jackson, Edmonton, KY

  • Mother in law: Wandalene Page, Edmonton, KY

  • And several nieces, great nieces, and one great nephew.
She was also preceded in death by her father in law, Otis Page.

Memorials may be made to the Missionary Mound Cemetery.

The McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2237 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements.
