Mr. Hubert Junior Groce, 73, Cumberland Co., KY (1941-2014)

He was a mechanic for Robeson Manufacturing. He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Hubert & Susie Long Groce. His wife of 23 years, Mildred Holman Groce, survives. He leave three direct and 12 step living descendants.

Mr. Hubert Junior Groce, age 73, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his residence in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 1pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Jamie Allen and Bro. David McCarty officiating. Burial is in the Groce Family Cemetery in Peytonsburg, Kentucky. Visitation was after 3pmCT, on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.



Mr. Hubert Junior Groce, 73, Cumberland Co., KY (1941-2014)

He was born on Friday, August 22, 1941 in Cumberland County, Kentucky, the son of Hubert and Susie Long Groce. He died Saturday, November 29, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, aat the age of 73 years, three months, and 7 days.

He was a mechanic for Robeson Manufacturing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Groce and William Groce and his sister, Dean Huff.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Holman Groce of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom he married on Thursday, February 14, 1991, and the following:
  • His son; Mark (and Paula) Groce of Monticello, Kentucky

  • His step-children, Gary P. Branham of Breeding, Kentucky; Lance A. (and Heidi) Wright of Charlotte, Tennessee; and Christy (and Billy) Moore of Charlotte, Tennessee

  • His brothers: Joe (and Jennifer) Groce, Jimmy (and Stacey) Groce, Burkesville, KY

  • His sister, Shirley Groce, all of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • Two special granddaughters: Kaylee Wright and Katelyne Wright

  • Nine step-grandchildren

  • Two step-great-grandchildren

  • And a special niece: Christie Claywell.
